I have to have one!
Youtube is the best video website of the world. Its bandwidth costs are estimated at approximately $1 million a day. It has millions of videos. Have you ever thought which are the most viewed videos on YouTube? Have you seen those videos? No. Here is list of top 10 most viewed videos on YouTube.
A lot of people do not believe that Twitter is important for them or important for their business; they think of it as a fad. They are absolutely wrong.
During the World Cup an astounding 3,282 tweets per second were sent following Japan’s 3-1 victory over Denmark a few weeks ago.
Share this bit of information with your teams and clients because there are some new statistics out from Edison Research, and the numbers are staggering; based upon these numbers, one cannot dismiss social media or Twitter as a fad, it is simply here to stay.
Why do people use Twitter?
“What do I want?”
Reason number one: Product services. 42% of people on Twitter admit that they join or log onto twitter everyday to learn about products services, which is incredible. The good news is, 65% of fortune global 100 companies now have Twitter accounts; the bad news is, 35% of them do not have a twitter account.
“I want to tell you what I think.”
Reason number two: Providing opinions. 41% of people jump on to Twitter to provide opinions about products and services, and I assure you that our clients’ products and services are being talked about. Businesses simply are not paying attention to that information.
“Tell me what to think.”
Reason number three: Seeking opinions. 31% of people jump on to ask for opinions about product and services that other Twitter users are providing (see reason number two).
“Tell me it’s cheap.”
Reason number four: Discounts and sales. 28% of people are looking for discounts and sales. Of these folks, a full 21% purchase these products/services.
“Help me.”
Reason number five: Customer support. 19% log onto twitter because they are seeking customer support.
There was a time when businesses could talk to the masses and all you needed was several million dollars to do so. You had a team of editors, writers, printing press, and you could send out stuff.
Now the brilliance of the 140 characters that is Twitter is being shared by 100 million users a day. You can say anything you want about it and you can buy a product or service and you are basically blind copying (bcc) millions of people. You are saying “I had a bad experience at McDonalds here is what i think about it.”
Some businesses are recognising this trend; they are positioning Twitter as the standard communication tool in more than 80% of all cases. These companies are quickly realising one thing; as much as they want to nurture every relationship, the advances in technology have given them greater access to more relationships but less time to deepen them.
So although there are more opinions, feedback, and social conversations, our clients need the resources to fully capture and to respond to all of them. This is where Twitter comes in; a tool to manage, develop, cultivate, and respond immediately to these conversations.
So launch your Twitter client right now.
